90 min workshop.

There’s nothing quite like taking flight in an arm balance in a yoga class but we often feel fear attempting these poses. Fear of failure and fear of falling flat on our face. We come into the poses with such determination and push that we forget that one of the most important elements in any pose is to find that place where you can find stillness.

It’s true that we do need some strength to get into these poses. If your upper body can hold a healthy plank pose and chaturanga dandasana then you probably have all the physical strength you need. Now it’s time to cultivate the inner strength that says I can do this. Finding the balance between effort and effortlessness.

During this 90 min class we will share in a 30 min vinyasa flow class that will prepare our mind and body for arm balancing. We will work on the preparatory poses and from there if we feel ready for the challenge we will play with the full pose being mindful that the full pose is not necessarily the be all end all. It’s in the journey:)


It is very important to learn yoga in a safe environment, learning to work with your body where it’s at and not where you think it should be. Foundations workshops are designed to give you the time and support needed to understand the safety and proper alignment of the basic poses and breathing techniques. After you complete a foundations workshop you will be prepared to join other classes with confidence.

You will learn proper alignment and how and when to use props so you can continue to practice yoga for a long time. Whether you are brand new to yoga or a seasoned yogi wanting to brush up on some important fundamentals, this workshop is for you. Be prepared to laugh, have fun, and rediscover what your body can do in a non judgemental environment. These workshops are offered periodically so keep checking the website for upcoming workshops and classes. Space is limited, so register early.

Foundations Workshop – Level 1

This is a pre-registered 4 week beginner course and includes 2 workshop style classes per week.
If you think you are not flexible enough to do yoga then this class is for you. If you’ve been wondering what the Yoga Buzz is all about, this is the class for you. If you are fairly new to yoga and want to learn more this class is for you. Be prepared to laugh, have fun and be amazed at the difference you will feel in just 4 weeks!
